Context
The web surfaces want a complete component kit; HeroUI v3 with a Pro licence provides one. Native screens use React Native primitives, and 0011 defers a shared React component library across web and native until duplicated screens cause a bug. HeroUI Pro code is excluded from the MIT licence (0024).Decision
- Web UI (console, landing, desktop renderer) uses HeroUI v3 and HeroUI Pro. The Pro token is a vault secret (0009), never a file.
- Web and native share types, the API client, validation schemas, state, i18n catalogues and design tokens (0060). They do not share components.
- Code that embeds HeroUI Pro stays out of published
@stackra/*packages unless HeroUI’s redistribution terms allow it (TODO: confirm the terms).
Consequences
- Each platform uses its native idioms; some screens are written twice.
- The deferral in 0011 stands unchanged; this ADR states its practical consequence.
Enforcement
gitleaks already scans for committed tokens. Planned — avalidate-repository.mjs check that HeroUI Pro packages appear only in apps.
