Context

The mobile app needs over-the-air fixes, push notifications and crash reporting from its first release. 0020 (Proposed) already chooses Sentry per app; this ADR applies it to mobile and adds updates and push.

Decision

  1. JavaScript updates ship through EAS Update, iOS and Android together, on the same channel and runtime version.
  2. Push uses Expo push notifications; push tokens are stored per user by a service, not only in the app.
  3. Sentry is integrated at first release, per 0020. The DSN is public configuration; upload tokens are CI secrets (0009).
  4. Store releases are bi-weekly.

Consequences

  • Fixes reach users without store review, within the limits of native-code changes.
  • Dependence on Expo services for push and updates.

Enforcement

Planned — the EAS workflow, a CI check that the runtime version changes only with native changes, and source-map upload in the release job.
