Supersedes 0077. Amends 0112, 0122, 0114 and 0115 (the editor tier). Resolves contradiction C-06 and closes gap B34.

Context

0077 (Proposed) listed features as Pro. The owner’s answers of 2026-10-20 (mem L704, L732, L671, L715, L876) say that inside Figentra OS everything is free code, and what a customer pays for is an entitlement, not a package tier.

Decision

  1. Editors are free code. The page and form builder editors are free code in the page-builder and forms app. An app entitlement unlocks them, with an upgrade prompt for a tenant that lacks it.
  2. @stackra-pro is for developers. It holds the developer-side features: the on-prem and own-cloud runtime stack (ADR 0171), the HeroUI Pro renderers (ADR 0197), the advanced drivers (Temporal, ADR 0151, and the silo database), and the devtools UI.
  3. Free code. The AI and MCP code is free (L704). All settings features are free (L671). Search parity is free code (L715).
  4. Carried forward from 0077. The separate scope, the private stackra-pro repository, Pro plugs in behind free contracts, free packages never import Pro, and the internal licence for our own products.
  5. Service labels. Service-level “Pro” labels (I11, A7, A11, AU8, EN8, N6, F1, F4, T4, IN2, X12) are OS entitlement tiers.

Consequences

  • A customer’s plan is the switch for a feature, so a feature is never shipped to some tenants in a different package.
  • Developers who build their own products get the Pro packages, and a free package never depends on one.

Enforcement

planned — the validator rejects a free package that imports a @stackra-pro package. Entitlement gates are checked by the pipeline (ADR 0138).
