decision 6: the checklist engine is the OS package
@figentra/checklists. Settles register C8.Context
0243 decision 6 calls for a generic checklist engine shared with onboarding without naming its home, and register C8 left signup and onboarding open. The owner’s answer to the screenshot gap review of 2026-10-21 (item 3) places the engine and shapes the signup.Decision
- Checklist engine. The checklist engine is the Figentra OS package
@figentra/checklists. Onboarding, leaving an organisation (0243 decision 5), production readiness and compliance tasks all use it. A check keeps the status, fix link and verifier of 0243 decision 6. - Registration on ZITADEL, onboarding after sign-in. The account itself is registered on ZITADEL’s hosted pages, so Stackra builds no
registration or login UI (0268 R3). After sign-in, onboarding is a multi-step form
document of the form kind in 0270, with steps, conditional steps and save-and-resume. It is owned by the provisioning module of
@figentra/service-tenancy. - Onboarding steps.
- Individual or organisation (the account model of 0272).
- Handle, with the availability check of 0275.
- Default currency.
- Region, only when creating an organisation, and a single value for now (0272 decision 3); a personal workspace takes the nearest region without a step.
- A usage-intent question, stored to tailor onboarding.
- An invite step.
- Adaptive checklist. After onboarding, the user gets an onboarding checklist chosen from the answers, in particular the usage intent.
Consequences
- One engine serves four flows, so a check written for onboarding can be reused in production readiness.
@figentra/checklistsis an OS package, so Stackra products without Figentra rules do not get it (placement per 0259).- Onboarding depends on the form kind of 0270.
Enforcement
planned — a provisioning test runs the onboarding document end to end for both account kinds; a checklist test covers each check’s verifier.Open details
The owner did not give these; the conservative default below applies until an ADR changes it.- Invite step. Shown only when the user creates an organisation; it can be skipped.
- Save-and-resume. An unfinished onboarding is kept for 30 days, then discarded.
- Currency. Changeable later by an owner until the first invoice; fixed after that.
- Usage-intent answers. A product-defined list, with “other” as free text; used only to pick checklists and defaults.
