Completed by 0242: the plan
ladder, add-ons, metric and the 14-day trial.
The plan ladder, its numbers and the trial are in ADR 0242. This ADR records the billing provider
and the metric, and corrects the tier names: there is no Free plan.
Context
The owner’s commercial answers (mem L515, L526, L947–952, 2026-10-20) fix how Figentra bills its own customers. An earlier answer listed a Free tier, and the later answer (Start FINAL, L952) removed it.Decision
- Billing provider (PP1). Stripe Billing, with Stripe Tax and the customer portal, bills Figentra’s own customers. Its webhooks drive Keygen and the entitlements (ADR 0178). Enterprise and on-prem deals use annual invoices.
- Tiers. Starter, Pro, Business and Enterprise (L952). There is no Free plan. The numbers of each tier are in ADR 0242.
- Add-ons and usage. Paid module add-ons per service, and metered usage on top. Entitlements are the plan, plus add-ons, plus overrides.
- Metric. Hybrid: a platform fee per tier, plus seats for internal users, plus metered usage for cost drivers (ADR 0242). A tenant’s end customers are never seats.
- Developer licence. Stackra Pro is a separate per-organisation developer licence (ADR 0202).
Consequences
- A paying customer’s plan lives in one billing provider, and every entitlement is derived from it.
- The tier names match the ladder in ADR 0242, so a price page cannot list a tier the product does not have.
Enforcement
planned — the billing webhook contract test (ADR 0178) and the tier-name check in the pricing package.Supersedes and sources
Supersedes: none. Corrects: the Free tier in the earlier draft of this ADR. Sources: owner answers PP1, PP4, PP6 (stackra-decisions-2026-10-19.md L515, L526, L947–952, 2026-10-20).
